"Happy Feet" Crafty Afternoon - March 10, 2015

Looks like preparing to support our very own "Marilyn" is as fun as "Dancing with the Quail Creek Stars" will be!

Nine WWW ladies gathered at the house of Cathy on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, to create "Happy Feet" paddles for our star when Debbie takes the stage on Sunday. A fun afternoon of crafting, nibbles and, of course, wine!

Trip to Sonoita - March 6, 2015

On Friday, March 6th, nine Women Who Wine carpooled to the Sonoita Elgin Wine Country to visit three local wineries. We were joined by Cathy's lovely daughter, Sharyn, who fit right in!

The day's festivities started at Sonoita Vineyards, the oldest commercial vineyard and winery in Arizona, for a private tour and tasting. After tasting 5 wines, our host brought out a special treat, Sparkles Brut with a hibiscus flower!

After Sonoita Vineyards, we visited Kief Joshua for lunch in their upstairs area. Our original vision was to picnic outside but the wind was a mighty gale by then. We had so much delicious finger food that we shared with the gentlemen pouring our tastes.

Last but not least we visited Flying Leap before heading back to Quail Creek.

Valentine Evening with Hubbies February 2015

The unseasonably warm weather created the perfect evening at the home of Carolyn & Gene for an evening Valentine celebration. Twelve ladies of the WWW gathered at Carolyn & Gene's to celebrate the upcoming Valentine's Day on Friday, February 6, 2015. Husbands were in attendance for the occasion. Daryl's husband has yet to be seen so we're not sure she's even married!

"Wines for Humanity" Wine Tasting January 2015

Ten WWW (and Carole's mom Delores) got together at Vicky's for a wine tasting presented by Wines for Humanity.  Six wines (exclusive to Wines for Humanity) were presented, paired with different cheeses and chocolates.  We all learned what a one ounce tasting pour looks like (except for Daryl :)  Carole D won a prize (a lovely wine pourer) for knowing the most wine related trivia!  And stop the presses - Christy found something she liked - and asked for more!!

January 2015 - Art Under the Full Moon

Did anyone notice the full moon? Ten ladies of the WWW trekked to the Union Public House (4340 N Campbell in Saint Phillips Plaza) on Monday, January 5, 2015, for happy hour/dinner followed by a tour of the Metal Arts Village on 3230 N Dodge Blvd in the evening. We love wine time...just look at those happy faces!

December 2014 - Christmas Celebration

December 5, 2014 - Fourteen ladies gathered at Christy's house for a Christmas Celebration. This is the first occasion all fourteen members have been able to attend a WWW event. Half of the ladies brought appetizers to share, the other half a bottle of wine. Yes, that means plenty for everyone!

Thank you to our gracious host, Christy, for decorating her house so beautifully in time for our event. We are all in a Christmas mood now!

In addition to the individual gifts made or purchased by Connie, Debbie, Christy and Kelly, Vicki surprised the WWW with a treat of a wine-tasting early next year, date and time to be announced!

Each lady brought $10 worth of Christmas Scratcher tickets, totaling $140.
Net proceeds for all tickets was $86.
The big winner was Debbie with $42! Her tickets came from Circle K!
