Roadhouse Cinema - Friday, September 9, 2016

“Oh how Shakespeare would have loved cinema!”
~ Derek Jarman, Dancing Ledge ~

Last Friday afternoon nine of us started out from the Clubhouse on our WWW adventure and headed for the Roadhouse Cinema to see the movie “Sully”. It was a really great movie. I had no idea of all the controversy surrounding the landing of Flight 1549 in the Hudson River!

We missed Connie, who thoughtlessly scheduled her knee surgery on the first Friday of the month and Daryl, who is so darned responsible where her job is concerned and Vicky, who better not have a flimsy excuse too.

I’m not sure how Judy knew where this theatre was, but it was certainly worth the drive. When we got to the Roadhouse Judy gave each woman a little treat bag to enjoy while watching the show.

It was the first theatre I’ve ever been in where you had a call bell on your “reclining” seats and the waitstaff came and took your order and delivered it in minutes all while enjoying the show. They also had a restaurant with what looked like really yummy offerings.

After the movie we headed over to Casa Valencia for some really great mariscos. The menu was so huge it was hard to narrow your choice down to just one thing…delish!

Oh, did I mention the margaritas weren’t too shabby either!

Yum!
Judy, thanks for a fun evening of camaraderie and lots of laughs and memories…the WWW
